A very warm welcome to the 5th Singapore Regional Business Forum (SRBF®) and the inaugural Singapore Regional Infrastructure Summit (SRIS).

Commemorating Singapore’s Bicentennial and celebrating the 5th anniversary of SRBF®, this year’s Forum is a two-day event that serves as the pre-eminent platform for business networking and exchange of leading-edge ideas in trade and commerce.

In addition to knowledge sharing through esteemed panels of local and international speakers, we will also be showcasing Singapore’s extraordinary transformation from fishing village to thriving metropolis in a short span of 200 years. In this regard, we are greatly honoured and delighted to mark this occasion with Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security of Singapore Mr Teo Chee Hean, who will grace the occasion as Guest-of-Honour.

Themed “Strengthening Business Collaboration for Regional Connectivity”, the SRBF® underscores and reinforces Singapore’s role as a gateway city for international trade and commerce, particularly with its strategic location along the 21st Century Maritime Silkroad.

Featuring over 70 industry captains, prominent business leaders, senior government officials and thought leaders from Singapore, ASEAN, China, Japan, US, Europe and other regions, the two-day Forum will present an exciting line-up of plenary discussions, ministerial dialogues, business matching and panel sessions on diverse topics pertaining to the BRI. A series of landmark MoUs for regional collaboration on BRI and infrastructure projects will also be inked at this event.

SRBF® complements the SRIS, which focuses on infrastructure opportunities in Asia, and how different Asian countries can harness the economic and social benefits arising from infrastructure developments for sustainable economic growth and long-term prosperity.

Past editions of the Forum have been strongly supported and well-received by the regional business community, and we look forward to welcoming more than 800 foreign ministers, ambassadors, government officials, prominent business leaders and project owners from over 45 countries and regions this year.

On behalf of Singapore Business Federation, I wish to thank MTI, the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, Enterprise Singapore, Infrastructure Asia, all sponsors and partnering business chambers and associations for your unwavering support. Many thanks also to local participants and overseas delegates for attending this forum. We look forward to your feedback, so that SRBF® and SRIS will continue to serve as high-profile, neutral business platforms to facilitate open and constructive conversations on regional matters.

I wish you a fruitful and insightful time at this Forum.

Thank you.

Your sincerely,

S.S. Teo
